Michael McCourt has been working in China since 2002 and is a specialist in strategic development, business planning and raising finance. Prior to joining CBBC in 2008, he worked with Global 500 companies in site investigation and operational planning for the set-up of  back-office, ITO and BPO operations across China. He also chairs the CBBC Construction Services Forum in Shanghai and the CBBC Suzhou Manufacturing Forum. Located in Shanghai, Mike covers all of mainland China.

London, the South East and the South West

With more than 15 years’ experience in the China market, Lise Bertelsen has worked with a wide variety of companies, organisations and government departments within a broad range of sectors, both in China and the UK.  Located in CBBC’s London office, Lise advises companies of all sectors throughout London and the South East, but has a particular focus on Low Carbon, Environment and Water.

Lise graduated from London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies with a BA Honours Degree in Chinese.

East of England, East Midlands and West Midlands

Stewart Ferguson is the West Midlands Representative and Head of Research and Consultancy for the China-Britain Business Council. Stewart began learning Chinese at the age of 16 and after graduating from Durham University in Oriental Studies worked for both Hong Kong and Taiwan invested companies in the UK. Prior to joining CBBC three years ago, Stewart lived and worked in Guangzhou for 8 years where he was General Manager for a Taiwanese export orientated manufacturer. Stewart has an in-depth knowledge of both the opportunities and the issues UK companies may face when developing business in China.

North of England

Vince Cunningham is a Chartered Engineer with an MBA with a background in both multinationals and SMEs. Vince has managed capital plant development – from developing local management teams and suppliers to building factories in China.

Located in Yorkshire, Vince covers the North of England.
